You have just got engaged and you are looking for a location that will wow all your guests but that is not the usual restaurant or villa? I am sure I can give you some suggestions!
Today I’d like to tell you the story of a young couple and a very unusual and unexpected but magical location!
For their wedding on Lake Como, Natalie and Emanuele chose the Concordia steamship. Class of 1926, the Concordia steamship is a beautiful historic ship with a steam engine, paddle wheels and elegant Liberty style furniture. Sizes are remarkable too: 54 meters long and 12.5 meters large paddle wheels. Renovation works will provide for the implementation of new gasoline boilers, refurbishment of all furniture and the creation of two new little parlors that will look very much alike the original stern parlor (still following the Art Nouveau style).
Natalie and Emanuele have thus gifted their guests with a very exciting tour of the beautiful Como lake: the ceremony, celebrated onboard with a breathtaking view of the lake, was touching and, after a few tears of joy, the party began! The choice of flowers was also very interesting: white roses, hop plant and ivy together with a deluge of candles created a very evocative atmosphere. Not even the bride’s bouquet was a traditional one: Natalie chose a very sophisticated but also very delicate composition of hop plant and pea. The wedding cake? Not surprisingly it wasn’t the traditional layered cake with white frosting but rather layers of delicious brownies!
And to end with a bang, all the guests were able to play the lottery! It must be said though, that the best gift of all was won by the bride and groom: a life full of love!
