It’s the hill of the boot, the region Puglia, touched by two seas. A beautiful land, the reign of the Trulli homes (traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof), UNESCO heritage. Then you have the historic ‘masserie’ (large farms) that are so characteristic of the countryside… I love this region and in fact this is where I spend my summer holidays in complete relaxation amongst art, beauty and good food.
So it’s not surprising then if I immediately accepted Simona Spinola’s invitation to participate to the Puglia edition of the Wedding Club organized by Zankyou in collaboration with Silvana Di Niso.
On September 28th I left Milan and I found myself in Savelletri, in the stunning San Nicola Masseria, where time seems to have stopped.
We smelled the perfumes of the land, saw the amazing ‘orecchiette’ (typical type of pasta of this region), took uncountable selfies and, most of all, we confronted ourselves with the following topics:
Because at the end of the day, now more than ever, we need to believe in all of this; because, like someone once said, this Puglia is exploding in our hands and its uncontrollable wealth cannot be but a great opportunity for everyone. Nature has given us such incomparable beauty with its colors and its scents, now it’s up to us to promote it and make the world aware of its existence.
Thanks to Zankyou, to all those that have worked to prepare this event and to all those attending.
