This past 24 May the Fifth Edition of Wedding Club, organized in collaboration with Zankyou, was held at the magnificent Hotel Villa e Palazzo Aminta in Stresa.
I must admit I was thrilled with the exciting morning spent among dear friends and great names or the world of weddings, with whom we discussed important topics such as Destination weddings, Wedding Tourism and Made in Italy. After the initial presentation by Simona Spinola – Digital PR and Communications Manager for Zankyou Italia – we heard various guests’ experiences.
Giorgia Veltri, Associate Publisher for Elle Sposa – official media partner to this Wedding Club – affirmed the importance of promoting all that is Made in Italy; Luca Busetto – of Mondadori Group – presented the new “Chi Matrimoni”, aimed at presenting wedding couples with VIP services. Silvia Lorenzini of Distretto Laghi explained that 76% of all tourists visiting Italy is composed of foreigners who fall in love with our lake and choose Italy for their weddings: huge potential for Wedding Tourism, no doubt. The following workshop was the key moment in which everyone could express and exchange ideas. The most frequently mentioned word that day was: cooperation, because cohesion can help solve the many issues challenging wedding planners, allowing us to rise to our clienteles’ wishes and expectations. Furthermore, Destination wedding sites need that local suppliers support and collaborate to boost their potential. Last but not least, professionals of the Wedding world must know English very well and must learn the traditions of the countries their clients come from, in order to perfect their wedding day.
A fascinating summary indeed!
I now wish to once again thank all participants, in particular: Simona Spinola of Zankyou and Ivan Quaglia of Hotel Villa e Palazzo Aminta; Elle Spose, our official media partner; Gabriele Basilico, our official photographer; Giuliano Piccolo, for the fantastic video of our event and Blunotte, our tech partner; Elisabetta Cardani, for her skillful floral arrangements, and Elisabetta Polignano who got us all dreaming with her marvelous bridal gown. Suggestions for a bride’s perfect makeup were given us by Davide Brustia of Nee Make up and hairdressings by Etrebel Cadorago; Loveday took care of all graphics; Arbues supplied their confetti; T’a Milano their wonderful chocolates and Bella’s Bakery created a superlative wedding cake!
My final thanks go to Angelo Santi for his cufflinks, to Silvia Rutolo and Romy Art for their enhancing jewelry and to Bulli e Pupe for their historic automobiles.
